Well, I know a bit about blogging. We have a few at the Library's website. I also have a few others, but don't keep up with them. I will try to do better with this one.
I am familiar with most of the blogging platforms. I like Blogger for the javascript abilities but prefer Wordpress for the statistics.

Wordpress offers graphs (numbers by day, by week, by month, by year), incoming links, most popular blog articles, links clicked on in the blog. I have not found this capability in Blogger. Wordpress doesn't auto offer the number of RSS subscribers (which is big), but either does Blogger. I know it is possible to use Feedburner with Blogger but I am unsure if it can be used with Wordpress.
Wordpress lets you see how many people have visited your blog on any given day, what links they've clicked and how they got to your blog. It's pretty cool!
